GALLERY: This is an unusual painting as there is a strange surreal feeling about it. It is more than just a lovely coastal view as it has an emptiness and an uncanny sense of expectation. ARTIST: "This is one of my most favourite spots in WA. We have been going there for 20 years or more and it still remains quiet and undiscovered in its beauty. It is near Hamlin Bay and is only accessible by 4WD. We were there on New Years Day 2002 with some friends from UK. They thought that it was one of the loveliest places they had seen and there was just nobody but us on the whole wide beach. There was something about the light when we were there and somehow this took over the painting as I worked on it."
