GALLERY: A simple but powerful sketch. An interplay between browns and blues with scratchy marks integrated by a tonal range from the darkest of darks to the pure white of paper. ARTIST "I have painted the Royal Freshwater Yacht Club" many times. I think it’s the whites of the clubhouse contrasting with the dark trees, especially the jagged shape of the Norfolk Island Pine and combined with the boats that make this such a lovely view. I did it as a sketch and as always I didn’t know what I was doing."
